Homework Assignments

  • Weekly homework sets are announced and posted here.
  • Late homework is NEVER accepted. For each homework, a selected set of problems will be graded and returned to you in lab sections.
  • Please print your name, lab section number, and student ID clearly on the first page of your homework.

Successful Strategy:

Make sure you are fully familiar with the information (especially, the schedules on exams and quizzes) on the course by carefully reading the course website and the online lecture note. In addtion, you should study the course topics by reading the textbook outside the classroom. Your total self-study hours should not be less than 10 hours per week.

4. Homework 3.5 (Due Feb 17, Wed) -- only for AMS 20 students

  • Redo all the problems of the midterm exam in the opposite color (those who took the yellow exam redo the blue exam; or vice versa)
  • This homework will be graded as "submit" or "no-submit". You need to submit it in the Wed class -- meaning that you NEED TO COME TO THE CLASS. I will not take any late submission in any forms, such as email submissions.
  • I will consider a homework as "no-submit" if any problems are missing or incomplete.
  • The questions and solutions are all available under the "Course Materials" tap. Although you already have the solutions, you need to study them and re-solve all the problems in the opposite color. You are supposed to practice how to solve them correctly after studying the solutions, rather than to practice how well you can copy and paste the solutions.
